How to use UXplore
A step-by-step guide to analyzing website structures, managing your scans, and designing new information architecture.
Live Scanning
- Enter the full URL of the website you want to analyze (e.g.,
https://example.com). - Set a "Depth" to limit how the crawler goes from the home page. This only affects the crawler, not pages found in the sitemap.
- Optionally, set a "Page Limit" to cap the total number of pages crawled. The maximum is 10,000.
- Click "Scan Website" to begin. You can minimize or hide the progress toast and the scan will continue in the background.
Importing URLs
- Click the "Import" button next to the main scan button to open the import dialog.
- Enter a "Root URL" for the project. This is required to establish a base for the sitemap structure.
- Choose your import method:
- Upload CSV: Select a CSV file. It must contain a header row with a column named "URL".
- Paste URLs: Paste a list of URLs directly into the text area, separated by new lines or commas.
- Click "Import and Analyze" to process the list.
Once your scan or import is complete, you can save the result to your "Saved Scans" library for future use.
